What is Healtheon and why are they partnering with Chapel Hill Health Centre?

Healtheon is a healthcare technology company that provides an innovative platform to streamline doctor-patient connectivity and enhance overall patient experience and care quality.

Chapel Hill Health Centre has partnered with Healtheon to offer additional administrative support and online tools through a Patient Portal, aiming to improve communication and expand ways for patients to reach the clinic.

The partnership introduces tiered Wellness Plans

Free plans allow basic access to billing & invoices. Wellness plans have different features & benefits (see below).

Is joining the Chapel Hill Patient Portal mandatory?

Joining the patient portal is completely optional; however, many patients find it helpful for accessing our clinic communication and billing tools. You may register for a free account for immediate access to your patient portal.

Paid plans are not required, but we highly recommend you choose the plan best suited for you. You may upgrade your plan at anytime within your patient portal to access additional benefits.

What is a Patient Portal?

The Patient Portal is your gateway to all Healtheon benefits. Here, you can communicate with your clinic, schedule appointments, request prescription refills, and engage with our AI-powered chatbot.

Is Joining Healtheon Optional?

YES! Joining the Healtheon portal is completely OPTIONAL. However, we do recommend that all patients create a free Starter Account to ease communications and billing from the clinic.

Is it Free?

The Starter Plan is completely free, and gives you access to the patient portal at no cost. You may choose whether or not your would like to upgrade your wellness plan to include additional clinic and Healtheon services.

How do I register for my Free Starter Account?

You will receive an email invite from Healtheon to register. Click the link in your email and choose your password. If you haven’t received an invite, and would like one, please email support@healtheon.ca

How many plans are there?

You may upgrade your “Starter Plan” to the “Basic Wellness Plan” for $24.99 / month. This will cover most uninsured services and unlock more technology features in your Patient Portal, including a ticketing system to communicate with your clinic, online appointment booking, prescription refill requests, and more.

The Essential Wellness Plan ($44.99/month) offers everything in the Basic Wellness Plan, plus access to Healtheon’s extensive network of specialists around the globe for an Expert Second Opinion and Virtual Case Review.

How do I Upgrade?

Patients can upgrade through the Healtheon Patient Portal. Your membership will give you access to more online tools, benefits and help your clinic establish team-based care.

Our Healtheon AI-powered assistant is at your service, guiding you through the features of your Patient Portal. Use it to schedule appointments, request prescription refills, or create new request inquiries to connect with your clinic. Think of it as your personal Healtheon assistant.
